Is the launcher DRM free?

Heya, i really care about DRM free games as i can run them anywhere, i had an eye on this game for quite a while and i was wondering if the executable can be launched without steam, like quite a fine bunch of games do.

If you don't know, but you own the game, just copy the game folder to your desktop, delete steam_api.dll and try to open the executable. If it works then it's drm free. Otherwise it's not.

Reason i'm asking this is because the only discussion about this matter i've found is very old, hopefully things changed in the meantime!

on Linux here it throws an error due to the missing libsteam_api.so

I do believe you can get it through GOG DRM free.
