How do I force unlock a character?

I was playing offline a bit, because my internet decided to be stupid, and it came back on as I entered the stairway to finish floor 3. So I finished the boss and all, and then I decided to close the game. When I relaunched, It asked whether I wanted to use cloud data, or local data. I didnt know the game stored on the cloud, so thats what I selected. Turns out I was reverted back to before I beat floor 2. I really dont want to go back through that to unlock those two characters

If you play offline always use you're local save as the cloud cannot save when you are offline. Also to unlock new characters I think you need to beat zone 4 or zone 5 if you have the dlc.

You can edit the local save file using a text editor. The local save file for steam is at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crypt of the NecroDancer\data\save_data#######.xml".
Replace ### with the number it says on it.
To unlock a character add charUnlocked#="1". Replacing # with the character number using 0 based indexing. (0 = cadence)
