- corner him with a broadsword
- tactical dig (turn around, dig and hit him when he's next to you)
- war drum
- Quake, Fireball, Freeze
The gray goblins are even harder, because they have 2 hp. If you hit them and they are still alive, they'll be knocked back, and you have to use dig one more time.
Goblins will also always try and run into the furthest diagonal point to you as far as I've observed, so if you know how you can manipulate their AI into going into a closed corner or a corridor that you want them to and get them stuck there.
I really need to practice in Zone 2 and 3, and then, I'll go for my hardcore run, if it goes well for me !
