Purple goblins...
Any tips on how can I deal with these enemies ?
I'm always digging blocks to let them approach me, but is there another way to kill them without getting hit ? Because they are pretty aggressive !

I'm in the same boat as you. Unless I have a war drum or different weapon. I end up resorting to digging a wall to buy time for them to get close :/

don't have the mindset that digging a wall should be a last resort tactic, its a useful thing to do in a lot of situations! #tacticaldigging

Haha yeah, it actually is a good strategy. But sometimes you have to deal with goblins and other enemies coming at you, or sometimes you don't even have blocks to dig, but I know these enemies are a real threat, I can't let one of these guys alive if I have to take down a group of other enemies. ^^

+1 I am looking for an answer as well.

For now, these are the strategies i tried :
- corner him with a broadsword
- tactical dig (turn around, dig and hit him when he's next to you)
- war drum
- Quake, Fireball, Freeze

The gray goblins are even harder, because they have 2 hp. If you hit them and they are still alive, they'll be knocked back, and you have to use dig one more time.

With goblins, if you manage to get on a diagonal next to them, you will actually activate their AI to only track you instead of running away, which can be useful for leading them to a wall you can dig at in your own time or just generally luring them to something. They will follow you with a space inbetween you and them so very good for people with a ranged weapon.
Goblins will also always try and run into the furthest diagonal point to you as far as I've observed, so if you know how you can manipulate their AI into going into a closed corner or a corridor that you want them to and get them stuck there.

Nice, thanks for the advices guys ! Now, time to practice ! I was at the Zone 3 level 3 right now, and just got killed because the trap tile warped me between a full groups of monster hahaha...
I really need to practice in Zone 2 and 3, and then, I'll go for my hardcore run, if it goes well for me !
