Pacemaker fighting Necrodancer?

Ok, so I've only encountered the pacemaker twice in-game, so I figured it'd be more effecient to ask instead of hope I'll get it later.

If you activate the pacemaker as Cadence when fighting the Necrodancer with Damian, is Damian also made immune to the beat? Or are you able to move Cadence all you want, but Damian only moves on the beat? And if so, when do the enemies move? Anyone done this and can answer?

Well you might find the results rather disappointing, but using the heart doesn't do anything during the Necrodancer fight with candence. Not sure how it would work in normal 2P co-op though, probably something like how Bard works, where only one player at a time can take a turn, P1 moving skips P2's turn, and visa versa.

It probably doesn't do anything for technical reasons, because the fight is a technical mess, i'd imagine, it has a music change (the first and only in the game that occurs while playing instead of level switching), and controls 2 players with P1's buttons. And you could handwave it as the Necrodancer's effect/magic being way too strong for it to work in his presence.
