Crypt of the NecroDancer

Crypt of the NecroDancer

all zones but not all zones mode?
I'd like to do a run through all the zones with the upgrades I've unlocked so I can get more than 3 or 4 diamonds per run but there doesn't seem to be a way to do this, dance pad is just zone 1, and completing zone 1 takes me to the lobby.

Individual zones is essentially the "casual audience" version of the game, while All Zones is how the game is intended to be played. All Zones has every item available by default, and if you're able to do all individual zones in a row, you should be aiming for it.

If you really want to grind hard for diamonds, zone 4 will give you a total of 24 every run (dig them gem walls :necroshovel:) - although there's very little use for them besides boss practice and completion's sake.

I just get so many good runs there I want to go through with, especially since I suck so much at all zones

There is a training mode that you can unlock by defeating either an enemy first and then you train its moveset there
and if you want you can spend the diamonds to fight the bosses each one getting upgraded whit more health and the enemies of the respected zones
if you want there is a way to see how much health an enemy has and it works whit bosses
Try to do one of the extra modes on the dlc despite being more harder you can maybe try to just simply play something different to improve into one thing.
Try nocturna
her weapon allows you to parry an attack of an enemy so you can focus on one and parry the attack of one enemy.
Or try the bard on all zones
the enemies move when you do so you can see the exact moment you should avoid enemy attack as some enemies mostly skeletons or dragons or the giant golems change their stance differently and from there you avoid their attacks.
Play the main story first maybe so you can train whit the main chracters.
There are some characters that can make the game more easy to try easy mode including
Bard so that you can react and move before the enemy does so you can study each situation and enemy behavior more easily
Nocturna as her sword allows you to parry enemy attack its quite fun I love her especialy more fun if you have a ring of courage as well
And maybe also Melody Whit her 3x3 attack range you can easily ram towards the area to at least get a feeling maybe of how all zones work
I hope I did gave you some ideas of how to help you improve whit this game
Even if I beat all zones mode whit two characters:Melody First and Then Nocturna
The game is extremely challenging despite I know each enemies moves and the patterns.
Its fair thought always try to improve and think quickly like you are on the dance floor
Focus yourself on the music as well maybe change it into a different soundtrack that will maybe help you focus more easily.
Hope I helped you somehow and sorry for the repetition and probably lack of help.
I still tried my best ^^
And hope you will as well playing this game dont give up
