Plated or Quartz armour, which do you prefer?

Personally, I go with Quartz since I only ever really take damage from Red/Blue Dragons, or occasionally other minibosses.

Not asking about heavy since it's objectively better unless you really hate shopkeeps.

I don't find dragons to hard to deal with. They're basically just really big shooty skeletons to me. So I go with plate as it's better at handling being swarmed in later zones.

I usually use Quartz armor because it seems to appear much more frequently than plate does. Also, if I'm going to get into a situation where I'll be hit, it'll usually be only one hit. Quartz ensures it doesn't matter WHICH enemy hits me, since it equalizes all incoming damage.
