Wet floor sign purpose.
Is there any actual purpose for the wet floor sign besides player-aid? I heard some people say its required to put them down on a wet floor and some say it's just for helping to spot wet floors for the player. I ask this because I saw a note in the office that said a scientist slipped on a wet floor and broke his neck. Because of this, they are going to sue the cleaning company. I don't know if this is part of the game's humor or if it's an actual penalty caused by player error.

Can anyone tell what the purpose of the sign is for?

Scrap what that guy said, don't burn the signs; I believe ones that the level begins with penalize you for burning them, though I'm not 100% sure.

On Evil Science, stacking Wet Floro Signs in the designated area is one of the secondary objectives. Otherwise they can either be burned or left alone without penalty or benefit.

Just a thought on the purpose of the wet floor signs, because it seems like they have no function aside from some scenarios where you must stack them.

My suggestion is that the signs eliminate foot tracking in a small area they are placed. Cuz what do you do when you see a wet floor sign? You step carefully.

I actually thought this was the function of the signs, but I tested it and it didn't seem to be the case.

Foot tracking can be disabled in the game altogether in the options, but that's no fun. I think it would be a cool mechanic to add.

I use them to mark off areas that are done and to be left alone.

May be helpful in multiplayer, but in single player, not really necessary. I think the foot traffic mechanic would be good.
Wait, do you get an indication on what levels you can´t burn them or is it just the Evil Science map?? I´ve being burning them all the time and got 100% on Azura´s Wrath regardless.

I also don´t see any indication that a wet floor is a thing in the game, you remove the blood or any dirt but I´ve yet to see any gameplay mechanic involving wet floors.

It is always safe to burn the wet floor signs.

It's only on Evil Science that there is a designated spot for them, which means you can get bonus points for stacking them there; but it's bonus only, not mandatory.

There's a pic on the wiki of the blue wet floors in Evil Science

They were removed a long time ago. Check the "Tips and Trivia" section.
