No, just about everyone who has tried failed. It just isn't worth it.
Like I said you better off with UE4 or other engines if you want native support.

What about Dungeon Defenders, Deadfall Adventures, Sanctum 2, Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, Papo & Yo, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Goat Simulator? I don't think too many people have actually tried to port their UE3 games to Linux before Steam came to the platform. Of course, the original Unreal Tournament 3 port got ditched back in the day.

This I can agree with. Epic doesn't (AFAIK) support UE3 for Linux themselves, and all the ports I mentioned above were done by either the developers themselves or a third party.

I hope a port will happen at some point... this game looks fantastic.

Yeah, good and sound points. The game uses Unreal Engine 3 which supports GNU/Linux at the moment. Porting the game into GNU/Linux and OS X may help to revive the gamerbase.

+1, I need this

also, has anyone who owns it and has linux tried to use wine yet? that might work as a temporary, or even a permenant solution. :P
