More interactions
It's house haunting sim, one of the main characters is the house itself so you should be able to interact with most things in it.
- Turn on/off every light including table lamps.
- Open/Close all faucets
- Flush toilet (or at least try to)
- Open/close fridge.
- Turn on/off kettle/microwave and so on.
- Pick up small things like soda cans, food boxes, trinkets etc. I don't mean to literally move them, but just when you press you can look at them (you press use key, object appears big in the middle of screen (and background is dimmed/blurred) and you can rotate it)
And much more - even when it's not usable straight away it should at least have some confirmation 'use' key does something. For example washing machine should at least beep when you press 'use' on it. Because right now you just going around and pressing stuff until you find out what can be used and what not. It'd bring great sense of interactivity, player won't feel like flying camera and it's very important for immersion.

Plus I can suggest full first person body to further strengthen the connection with world (don't have to be fully animated properly - people won't looking at it constantly, it'd be just a nice touch). Also it'd help to make player to be seen in reflectible surfaces. This is a lot of work though, I can understand.

I do plan on adding way more interactivity to the house and the surrounding property (and the secret tunnels full of bones below the house). MOST of the light switches work, as does the toilet. The faucets only work when they've been activated by a ghost. I plan on adding much more to interact with--- cabinets, the computer, various items, appliances, lore/flavor stuff like a book or a picture that holds significance to the player, etc. I do need to do something like what Half Life 2 did with the use button. When pressed on a non-interactive target, it makes a subtle bloop noise that communicates to the player that they can't use anything here, and still doesn't take them out of the immersive experience. First person body + the player visible in reflections is something I HOPE to do one day. You're right, it would be a lot of work, so that specific feature would be something I'd experiment with when more of the game is complete.
Thank you so much for your feedback. I really appreciate it!
In case people wonder, update on what is already implemented in UE4 build atm:
- First person body awareness
- Player shadow
- Player reflections
- Flashlight shadows

Which is really good stuff and helps with immersion tremendously!
