New UI and other thoughts
I bought the game after reading the description and I knew it would be right up my ally. I have enjoyed what I've played so far and I cannot wait to see the final product. My questions would be, are there any plans on uprading or changing the UI? Although I understand the type of feeling the UI represents, it can be hard to actually navigate. It's not responsive at times and it took me quite some time to get out of the collectibles menu before I noticed the faint green arrow at the bottom. I like the camera interface because its not intrusive. Although the battery indicator is quite large and doesnt seem to stand out for me. Maybe it's just that I'm so into the game that im not paying attention to the battery. I noticed there was patches for pacing and they seemed to have helped. While I enjoy the pace, I tend to find myself walking around trying to figure out what exactly I'm supposed to be doing. There was one instance where I went into the bathroom and a face appeared in the window and I believe that was all that happened that night. My question then would be if there is plans for some sort of goal system or any way to kind of gear the player into what to do for that night early on. It did pick up eventually and got a lot easier to find where to go. I am aware the game is still early into development and it's just small things I've noticed and was wondering if changed were going to be made. So far it's been fun and keep up the work guys.

For the UI, you're speaking for the menu system, correct? If so, we have a guy who is making us one and we will have it up there as soon as humanly possible. Seems that everyone but Matt (the developer) is having issues with it.

The UI is in the process of being completely overhauled and remade. I also do plan on adjusting the size of the battery indicator. As far as the pacing goes, it's always being tweaked. I do intend to add more methods of direction for the player, but I'd make sure it's not so much that it is at the expense of exploration/discovery. It will be interesting finding ways to pull that off, but it's totally something that is planned. Thank you so much for your feedback and support. I appreciate it :D

One more thing, could you please make the UI navigable with the controller? Right now it only works with mouse (and only sometimes :P). Thanks!

That's the plan with the new menu. It may not be there right when the new menu launches, but it is absolutely planned. The goal is to give the game FULL controller support.
