Why so few players?
Is it a niche game or unknown game?

It's very obviously a niche game that is asking a very high price, possibly to push more users to try out game pass which is the bread and butter of Microsofts gamign division, who owns this developer.

Everyone probably finished it yesterday... it only takes 5 hours after all! ;-)

Specific gameplay, high price.
It's like a surstroming from videogames.

An indie studio given big bux by microsoft, and the investors forcing them to put a prize tag of 50$ on it. It's a niche game for a niche audience, and it's overprized, and now that people know it's only 5 hours (that's 10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars per hour), nobody with any sense will buy it until it's at least at half prize

Interactive movie. I liked the first one but I'd only get this at a deep sale of like $10-$20 tops.

its on gamepass dude, you can get gamepass for like 5 bucks, why would people buy a 5 hour game? lmao

Or you can watch a long gameplay video on YouTube saving 50 bucks... Same experience and much cheaper. Is not like there is much gameplay interaction anyway.

The first game was an absolute work of art, and the devs definitely deserve the support. But now I'm torn... another $50 purchase will get me in trouble with the wife, but $1 to try Game Pass for two weeks feels like piracy; especially since the first game I played through once, was affected by it for years, but never touched it again.

Maybe I'll wait until I can get it on GOG for $30.

Yeah 5 hours for a 50.00 game. Soon as I heard that I decided Ill wait for a sale. Not enough value there. 39.99 I might of bit on but even then its 5 hours.

Because "gamers" are a bunch of whiny kids.

They don't want high production-value, finely crafted, single player games... No!
They want cheap, low-effort attempts of game model, that abuses them and their wallets....

"Gamers" will always prefer the "mobile games model" over a carefully hand-crafted game.

Enjoy your hobby, ya whiny kids!

I mean, it's 5 to 6 hours. A large number or those players who bought it since it released most likely finished it already. So the number or concurrent plays are going to plummet super fast naturally.

This game is a masterpiece, Loved every minute, completed 8-10 hours on Gamepass

You play Suicide Squad, your post now qualifies as satire.
