How is multiplayer?

Considering buying it at some point. If ranked is not doing well are people considering creating a group like last time?

im still finding matches pretty quick my longest wait time was 7 min at 3am so i would say its fine

Ranked is "alive", but you have to change your "download region", where many players are active, like USA.

Have tested it the last few days. Result:
- USA "download servers" as "seed": wait time less than 5 minutes. Often less than 3 (maybe depends on your rank)
- "download servers" with "dead players": good luck in finding games. If you dont get a game within 5 minutes just change "download server"



How to "change download region":

Go to Steam > Settings > Downloads tab
Under Download region, select the region that you are in or that is closest to you.
You can also try various regions near your location to see if a better connection is available.

I know, but the "search" seems to search first for players in your region and expand it than.
It can't be a coincidence that when I change the download region to USA I usually find games within 4 minutes.

yes thats right everytime the search times out and u repeat it expands the search region which is kinda stupid but it isnt region locked so there is really no big reason to change your donwload area just for that

You are right, but i suspect that there is something involved like a "start point" of the search with the "download area" as the startpoint for the region search.

This would mean that:
- if your download area is in the area with many players than the search dont need many repeat circles to find someone.
- if your download area is in the area with no players than the search need a lot repeat circles to find someone, which would result in long waiting times.

I have observed that, but this still a suspection. But its a fact that i only find games within 5 minutes (less than 3 minutes) during "prime hour", if i change the region. I f i dont change it than its posible for 10+ waittime or no game at at.
