How is a decade-old game more detailed than the one that just released?

In starfield you could move the props!
Different focus? Not all games have to do all the same things as previous games have done

Because they are not even in the same genre. Simple. :steamfacepalm:

.... because the "Skyrim Space Program" was such an immersive aspect of the game.

Skyrim's physics could freak out far too easily, mainly because nearly every single object had full physics. You could watch a chicken trip on a grape, and get catapulted into the sky.

Why should 2 different dev studios have the same design policy, focus and structure?

though i disagree the attention to detail in avowed is way better than skyrim.

Which is awesome, btw.

What detail? This game has absolutely no detail.

Even when guard do not react at all lmfao

NPC
Because new generation of players will "eat" what ever is on the table. There is no reason to do better if there is no market for improvement.

True, but games that rely on immersion (ie, open world RPGs) tend to progress in features that facilitate immersion. Even Morrowind had a water physics. A lot of people kind of expect advances in technologies in AAA games rather than regression. On it's face, Avowed looks like it has a bigger marketing team than Dev team. It's also easy to just forget how amazing these games "were". I remember getting absolutely lost in Skyrims immersion and not even following the main story, just kind of wandering and living in the world. Avowed seemed like an attempt to recreate that experience but without any of the immersion. its almost like the intentionally removed player freedoms to ensure people were killing NPC's for fun or trashing public places.

TLDR; Skyrim with texture pack is a better game than Avowed
