Why are all important NPC a woman?

I am genuinely curious why are all the important NPC's a woman, but the Ambassador who is a white male and will probably turn out to be the bad guy.

Ach, the dev team have their agenda, which is "fine", they can do what they want, but it's definitely one of the things that put me off this and Veilguard(got it for free and couldn't make it more than 2/3 hours in). It's funny, by name alone, was reflecting on a game called Unavowed, which features this badass Genie woman called Mandana, never felt ham-fisted or forced for a moment, the intent of the writers is truly hard to ignore, be that a good or bad thing.

Because I see this sentiment spouted often about this game, but no one seems to be able to point out the specifics of this claim and the ACTUAL characters in question...

It seems more like gender perception bias than an actual objective view of this game.

You are probably suffering from gender perception bias. Most men consider a situation to be "balanced" if a bit under 20% of the participants are women, and "dominated" by women if they make up more than about 30% of a group.

Because you havent played the game, and are just repeating what clickbait Youtubers are saying.

There are more men than women in this game, and women are usually sweeping the streets, or sometimes being merchants.

I'm still in the first area so it could change further in, but thats the case so far.

Its far and away from The Outer Worlds, which IS like you explained.

I don't think the actual numbers for that bias is quite that skewed... But I too felt that the OP was experiencing the same bias you are referring to.
