So no, you're wrong.
I mean I also think this game is horrendous and another half baked price gouge release to the masses.
I guess me asking was more existential by classifying us as an audience as a whole as “modern” because by not including any game yes we are the modern audience hahaha!
Only gamers that ended up buying can review
So logically the target audience like the game overall
They don't really play games like this
Game has a very positive rating because it's a good game and we are enjoying it. That's usually how these things work
So in one sense, yes, anybody who buys and plays modern releases is the modern audience, but regressives want to find a way to draw a distinction between games that target them vs. other demographics without sounding overtly bigoted.
You can play and enjoy classics like Arcanum or Planescape and play other games considered less "aureus" for people more papist than the Pope.
No need to be so purist nor pretend look over your shoulder. You can read Proust and
at another time a comic, and nothing happens. Or eat a Black Angus ribeye and another day a burguer in some frying.
Easy! :D
The games aren't catering to demographics that don't play their game. That should be simple enough to understand. What they are trying to do is, demean, deprive, and inculcate a kind of social passivism and acceptance of the culture being destroyed of the majority demographics who do play their game. They want to teach, for example, the white boys who play their game, that it's normal and fine to give up your country and culture to other people, based solely on the colour of their skin or sexuality. And if they don't do that, then they're bad guys.
It's a fantasy game that takes place in a fantasy world, who cares what color/culture the things in the game are. If you can't relate or use your imagination then the game isn't for you. By experiencing fantasy cultures in a video game I don't feel like I'm losing my IRL culture nor am I being compelled to give up my FREE country.
Next you're gonna tell me there shouldn't be violence in video games cause you can't separate fantasy from reality there either. I swear the anti-woke are living in a more delusional outraged fantasy realm than the woke every were.
