The modern audience that bought it is really enjoying it.

Currently the only people who can play the game are those who paid to get early access, so of course those people are gonna have a more biased/positive review. Once the other reviews come in, from those who arent as diehard about the game then youll see the reviews even out. But honestly, i think anyone who has an opinion on this game has already decided if theyll buy it or not, regardless of the reviews. Those are are pre ordering/buying day one have already decided they want the game, so youll likely see positive reviews but an extremely low amount of sales.

What does “Modern Audience” even mean? Isn’t that everyone in general at this present point in time? lol!

I am not a part of the modern audience.

So no, you're wrong.

I mean I also think this game is horrendous and another half baked price gouge release to the masses.

I guess me asking was more existential by classifying us as an audience as a whole as “modern” because by not including any game yes we are the modern audience hahaha!
Think of it this way, only people who bought it can review it. Its early access at the moment so the people playing paid the extra amount to do so, they are likely fans of the lore so it should be expected that its positive. 2032 of the peak is 15% and sense the peak is always lower then the sales that means less then 15% of the players who have played left reviews.

Most rejected the game.
Only gamers that ended up buying can review

So logically the target audience like the game overall

I reckon that is the younger generation of gamers.

They don't really play games like this

I don't know, but I am.

Game has a very positive rating because it's a good game and we are enjoying it. That's usually how these things work
Starfield was Very Positive too while in Early Access

Veilguard was also very positive for awhile, dropped to mixed now though.

You see, when somebody uses "modern audience" in a negative way, they are usually positioning that as an opposite to themselves, who would be the "regressive audience". The regressive audience specifically wants all games to only target the demographic of straight white men, and they do not want games to feature any non-white characters, anything that challenges their assumptions about gender, or any women who are not conventionally attractive.

So in one sense, yes, anybody who buys and plays modern releases is the modern audience, but regressives want to find a way to draw a distinction between games that target them vs. other demographics without sounding overtly bigoted.

You mull over this matter about tastes in videogames. Modern audiences, thrash games, etc.

You can play and enjoy classics like Arcanum or Planescape and play other games considered less "aureus" for people more papist than the Pope.
No need to be so purist nor pretend look over your shoulder. You can read Proust and
at another time a comic, and nothing happens. Or eat a Black Angus ribeye and another day a burguer in some frying.

Easy! :D

You need to find a way to cope with reality, rather than substitute it for fantasies you acquired from Reddit and late night 'comedians'.

The games aren't catering to demographics that don't play their game. That should be simple enough to understand. What they are trying to do is, demean, deprive, and inculcate a kind of social passivism and acceptance of the culture being destroyed of the majority demographics who do play their game. They want to teach, for example, the white boys who play their game, that it's normal and fine to give up your country and culture to other people, based solely on the colour of their skin or sexuality. And if they don't do that, then they're bad guys.

It's a fantasy game that takes place in a fantasy world, who cares what color/culture the things in the game are. If you can't relate or use your imagination then the game isn't for you. By experiencing fantasy cultures in a video game I don't feel like I'm losing my IRL culture nor am I being compelled to give up my FREE country.
Next you're gonna tell me there shouldn't be violence in video games cause you can't separate fantasy from reality there either. I swear the anti-woke are living in a more delusional outraged fantasy realm than the woke every were.
