Jealousy. At this point the better AI art can already replace most (99%) of artists.
The reality is that most artists don't have brilliance in them so they can't create works of brilliance yourselves. And right now its only that brilliance that can't be created by AI. However it can recreate all the rest (which is most art) You call it 'slop' because you dont want to be replaced.
Well, this is not the first time a job gets replaced by automation. Far from it.
I'm an artist and I don't care one bit what they do with their video game. Wake me up when they can paint something that isn't digital "art".
Yet you bought the game and didn't even bother to read the disclaimer on the Store Page talking about AI art assets..
And personally, I think art shouldn't be perfect, cuz we humans aren't perfect, and that's the beauty of it.
i hope they take most of the inspiration from the sims2 and not sims4.
we need the build/cas from sims4, world from sims3 and gameplay from sims2. i already see the potential that this game can do that.
it already basicly has the mechanics for sims4 build/cas (it just needs more options, but thats easy to add later),
it already has a large open world (kinda) like sims3 (i think you just walk everywhere, you dont need to use that loading screen bus?)
and i think with the use of that AI it has the potential to add alot of little gameplay details (like children running out to house to hug their parents coming back from work(sims2 had that))
the potential is there, i have hope, i hope they cam make it work
I personally CANNOT WAIT for the AI to get into the RPG genre so it can produce missions from local towns' ins and guilds. Just saying, it is not that bad if used correctly.
