Money cheat too easy
I think it's generally a bad thing that the money cheat is just 2 clicks away. It retracts from the game for me, even if I don't ever use it.

i know the cheat is there but i refuse to use it because i want the challenge with all the trials and tribulations that come with trying to find the best way to be successful the hard way. If i used the cheats and go everything, i'd get bored of it in a few minutes knowing the pirmary reason and incentive has been removed.

i want to go out and make mistakes and wonder how to fix them, or having to start over because i butchered it so badly in the process. i have never taken the easy path in game or the real world, i got to do things the hard way and gain my own experience with it and learn my own way.
any one with a hex editor can do a simple money hack.... u don;t even need to have these options enabled in the game via console commands... but its a sp sim life.. sooo who really cares if some one cheats there @SS off.. go nuts its your own private univeres
you can just not use it and progress your career.

Yes, it's so easy to not cheat. Play hardmode, only make your money with art, write books or play for tips.

Or..... here's an idea..... just putting it out there. Don't. Use. It. I'd rather the option then not. smh
They have no impulse control apparently. A toggle in the settings for cheats could be a possible solution for people that can't control themselves.
I mean right now InZoi forcing me to be rich is policing my gameplay, lol. Keep the cheat, fine, but let me ALSO have a way to set my starting funds low be AS EASY as making them high. I had to look up the cheat to get rid of money, the people who want to play wealthy get an infinite wealth easy cheat? How about, don't assume I want to play the rich trust fund kid. Also, this is what early access is for, letting the Devs know that some of us DON'T want to start with all the funds in the world.

I don't care if the button stays, but I do want the OPPOSITE available at the same level of accessibility.

THEN DON'T USE IT

I also hoped the game would be a bit of a challenge, as sims at least since Sims 3 completely failed to deliver that. But it's feels even easier than that.
Started a new save and because i didn't have a feeling for the currency in the game yet, tried to save every dollar when building the house.
When i had a fully functional home i still had over 40.000 left. Could have built a 10 room house with everything i wanted with that.

After that i treid how relationships work. In the same day i managed to find a bff and wife. Took literally 10 conversation options to do. It feels like there is no game, just a sandbox.

Didnt even have to cheat in the sims to get loads of cash in 1 hour.

create character, move to empty lot, go visit the goths, befriend either mortimer or bella, woo them, ask to move in, move entire goth household to empty lot. thanks for the house and 150,000. gold digger mode.
It allows people to play the way they want. It's interesting psychologically that you require it hidden, but everyone has their own quirks. If they hide it, ok. I use the money cheat and still have them get jobs. I just don't like to even think about a financial aspect of the game. I don't need large mansions or any of that stuff, I just want to be able to not deal with it from a direct input.

i at least don't require it hidden. I think it's fine that it's there, but it implemented in a weird way. I also clicked it just to see what i can do and expected getting a slider or just a box where i can modify the current balance. I certainly didn't expect it to just dump 100k on my account without telling me beforehand with no way to undo that action.

I've seen this before, for some reason self control is treated as a dirty word with some gaming communities and everyone must be prevented from having options to cater to those lacking any willpower. Its very easy to not use an optional function.
I imagine they had to make it incredibly easy to access the money cheat because making money on this game is so difficult. I spent around 6 hours real time today grinding skills on two of zoi's and im still sitting on about 7k, starting at 3. Took me 6 IRL hours to make 4k?

They desperatly need to improve the economy on this game because Im really hesitant to use the cheat, just totally breaks immersion imo.

you say it now. wait until you played enough to the point you are thinking "i'm going to use it, i can not be bothered to spend hours building yet another zoi up."

That the thing with self control, you know it's there now and you can make an effort to stop yourself when you feel no mental pressure to consider it, but as things erode away, so does your willpower, it only takes one moment of weakness and there you are using it before you realised you given into it.
