SmartZoi (AI) AMD GPU question

whats teh AMD GPU requirement to enable SmartZio AI? I only seen nv gpus as a requirement..

Well its working for me and I can assure you, your efforts are a waste of time. It is so bad it couldve been achieved without the use of "AI", I have it turned off its so bad. It only reveals their "Inner Thoughts", you cant talk to them or anything like that, and as far as their personality goes which is what the SmartZoi feature is actually for in regards to their personal development, I HIGHLY doubt its in game right now as a feature being everything else seems to be entirely lacking.

Literally what I've said, it just doesn't do anything interesting at all (YET)

All it does is enable your zoi to basically do BETTER AFK thoughts and actions and like wise to the rest of the zoi's out there living, but it does nothing that should require ACE lol Its hilariously dumb.

Yeah I'm having a hard time telling what this actually does. I found a media article saying it.. changed decision making but they were unimpressed lol. Mayhaps the effects are so little its not even notable.

Ahh I see now. Reason folks in here say its "not working" is cus it pretty much does nothing as of yet. Why even disable it on AMD cards in the first place? At least as far as the UI goes. The autonomy setting has effectively resulted in the character standing in the middle of a room full of things to do and idling haha

So when you enable it, there is a small box on the bottom, a slider you also have to enable for the SmartZoi feature, it gives you the ability to write your own prompt, I put something like "I just moved into the neighborhood and I am excited to meet new people." generic af right, anyway when you play you'll see a bar above the Zois head pop up, "Inner THoughts" you click it and sometimes it happens so fast that it vanishes before you can click it, but in general it gives you a very brief description on either what happened lately or how they feel about it. Like I said they are typically very bland. Married my wife, and her inner thoughts were about books she read... nothing about the marriage or proposal at all.

It literally does nothing special.. It does what REGULAR AI should do coded in the game.. if you ask me.. its a lazy way of making AI worthy of being... well.. AI

Well this feature regarding AI is rather pointless but the texture thing is kinda cool I'd say, I think personally it would have been way cooler if we could have been able to talk to them via AI feedback. Same thing with the phone messaging, texting Zois, it would be nice if that was like AI responses as well.

Sorta like the matrix gameplay we saw.

I suppose down the line it may be interesting though right? Add more "depth" to the character, and let you use the prompt to actually affect the characters behaviour more. But from what you're both saying right now, its just an alternative for the regular AI effectively.

I guess for anyone looking at this thread and is curious then..

Open GameUserSettings.ini located in:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\BlueClient\Saved\Config\Windows - or your system equivalent.

Find lines 54 to 58, they'll look like:
SmartZoiActive=0
SmartZoiAutonomyActive=0
SmartZoiRangeInCity=2
SmartZoiRangeInViewport=4
SmartZoiWaitingCount=8

Change lines 54 (and 55 optionally), so they become:
SmartZoiActive=1
SmartZoiAutonomyActive=1

Play about with the other settings if you want, experiment.

Save the file.

Reboot game.

Its a shame, dont wanna be mobbed haha but I was never expecting it to be this bad on release, albeit its EA but I just didnt expect it to be this bad.

Ehh I mean I guess Its hard to agree with that, the core functionality isnt really there, but if your someone that likes customizing characters then you could do that right now all day long.

Its certainly not on the same level I'll agree yeah, it just feels a bit.. empty? But the careers, interactions, social etc aspect is present in whatever form it takes just now. Like you says though, the character editor is the strong point at the moment.

My zoi wife sent me a text, there is an option to respond anything you want to her but you can't send it (yet) it appears to be an upcoming feature.
