I have a GeForce RTX 2080Ti and don't get the setting, even though it should be better than the minimum requirement card they published for SmartZoi??? Is there a list of which GPUs are supported?
Im on 7900xtx, im interested in support too.
been using smartzoi.... its literally not important and I even doubt if it ultimately does anything at all currently. So far every once in a while it'll share their inner thoughts which are usually super generic and bland, and can probably be done without ai.
I tried it but didn’t see much difference in behavior from Zois. Disabled it again, maybe if the feature is better, I would use it. In this state I don’t think it is worth the resource which it needs.
Messaggio originale di Tenacre:
The 7000 series (and earlier) cards do not have Tensor cores. The 7000 series has "AI Accelerators", which are not separate entities and thus do not provide any serious AI compute power relative to Tensor cores. This is the reason why older AMD cards do not support FSR4, and probably never will outside of maaaybe a heavily stripped-down version for the 7900 XT(X).

That statement about Smart Zoi supposedly being supported on any AMD cards, rather than just the 9000 series, smells like premature ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It would very likely run like ass even with an XTX.

Tested as of this morning with an XTX.. works perfectly. Has to be enabled for AMD systems through a config file in your save game.

What file? What did you change?

Config file, within your save in appdata/local/blueclient
It would be nice if somehone could give us the different values for :
  • SmartZoiActive (I guess 0=false and 1=true)
  • SmartZoiAutonomyActive (0=turned off, don't know what other values are)
  • SmartZoiRangeInCity (mine is at 2 but I don't know the other possible values)
  • SmartZoiRangeInViewport (mine is at 2 but I don't know the other possible values)
  • SmartZoiWaitingCount (mine is at 8 but I don't know the other possible values)

This was my default values for it just on and adjusted a bit with a 4090:

SmartZoiActive=1
SmartZoiAutonomyActive=0
SmartZoiRangeInCity=2
SmartZoiRangeInViewport=4
SmartZoiWaitingCount=8
Gunna give this a shot with my 9070 xt later ^

Here is the full path for anyone curious:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\BlueClient\Saved\Config\Windows

The file you're looking for is 'GameUserSettings.ini'

Dear FerryFit, Thank you for reaching out with your thoughtful questions about the Smart Zoi feature. We understand the excitement surrounding this feature and appreciate the opportunity to clarify some important points. First, regarding the GPU compatibility for Smart Zoi, we can confirm that the feature will indeed be supported on a wide range of GPUs, provided they meet certain performance criteria. While it’s true that we’ve partnered with Nvidia for this feature, Smart Zoi will not be exclusive to Nvidia’s latest GPUs.
Instead, it will be compatible with a variety of GPUs, including those listed in our minimum system requirements. To address your specific question, Smart Zoi will run on GPUs listed in our minimum requirements, which include the NVIDIA RTX 2060 (8GB VRAM) and the AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. This means that players with these GPUs, and others meeting the minimum specifications, will be able to use Smart Zoi without issue.

Additionally, Smart Zoi will be fully compatible with higher-end GPUs like the NVIDIA RTX 30 and 40 series, as well as those from the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series. This ensures that players using mid-range and high-end graphics cards will also benefit from the feature’s capabilities. While the feature may perform best on newer or more powerful GPUs, it is not exclusive to the latest hardware, such as the RTX 50 series. We understand the importance of making sure that players who meet the minimum system requirements can access Smart Zoi, and we want to reassure you that this will be the case. We aim to provide an exciting experience for as many players as possible, and we are confident that Smart Zoi will be accessible to a broad audience.

We also appreciate you sharing the video from the influencer discussing this topic. It’s always valuable to hear the community’s thoughts and concerns, and we hope this response helps clarify things for both the influencer and their viewers. Thank you again for your inquiry. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Best regards, inZOI Support

That "email" is from months ago posted by "some guy on discord". The specs sheet that says AMD will not be supported for SmartZoi was within the last week.

And, as evidenced which is more trustworthy, those of us with AMD hardware who have bought the game, find that the option for SmartZoi is indeed NOT present.
The only thing I've noticed differently with SmartZoi is that they have thought bubbles where they are just like "Im hungry, this cat turd doesn't satiate me."
Enabling the option in the INI file turns on the UI for Smartzoi but, not surprisingly, it doesn't seem to enable the actual functionality. The inner thought bubbles always say they have "nothing on my mind right now".. (this is on a 6850XT)

As a 7900 XTX owner, you just made my day.

One interesting feature of SmartZOI is you can insert some plain-text information into your Zoi's heads. Like, "You are delusional and you think you are a cat." Then if you follow that Zoi around and look into their thoughts once in a while, their thoughts will reflect what you told it, and their actions should take their thoughts into account. We should be able to make really interesting characters using this feature.
