Also, on Ultra? Why not add 4K too?
If the old hardware can play the game at 1080p 60FPS on low-med settings, then I consider that a playable game that doesn't require over 6GB VRAM.
Even with my RTX 3060 with 12GB VRAM, I have to stay around med-high settings for UE5 games. I guess 12GB VRAM is the thing of the past now since I can't play UE5 games on ULTRA,
Couple of games are majority to you?
Even though those games state 8GB VRAM minimum, people have played them with 6GB VRAM cards with optimized settings.
I mostly support indie devs on Steam, not AAA. And Steam isn't the only platform I use either. I usually avoid western games as they've just been dishing out mostly garbage in the recent years. Although, I am going to give Assassin's Creed Shadows a try anyway soon.
Played many "modern" games fine, and only UE5 has given me consistent issues across multiple games.
Nope, I have a 144hz monitor for a reason, even 60 FPS feels like 30 to me.
So, I like to balance graphics with performance, if Ultra will limit me to 60FPS, I will turn the graphics down.
No, it's because UE5 is just a garbage engine, If RTX 3060 12GB VRAM still isn't capable of getting decent performance on med for graphics that look worse than older games.
Yup, if the game runs on 1080p 60FPS with optimized settings for your hardware, then it means it's playable. The guy claiming I need to play on Ultra to consider it as playable is just being dishonest really.
These days, "modern" AAA games are mostly garbage and some even have worse graphics than those older games. The reason I mostly avoid western AAA games these recent years.
Too many games, troll.
Majority of games are still playable on older hardware at 6GB VRAM. Keep coping to defend poor optimization of UE5.
Obviously not going to tell you what to do with your money but even moving up to a 3070/4060 would be worth the upgrade for not much cost.
I'll play what I want and buy what I want in whatever platform I desire if I feel the game is worth supporting. I certainly am not interested in purchasing an EA.
I played the demo which had awful performance, so I'm not expecting performance to have been improved since then, nor do I think it will be until at least the game is fully completed.
What UE5 games would that be? I don't see any on your account, but I could be mistaken.
UE5 games I played fairly recently apart from InZOI are:-
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP
The First Descendant
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
Hero's Journey 2 / Under The Witch - Gothic
Dragon Ball - Sparking! Zero
Projekt Melody - A Nut Between Worlds!
Ready or Not
I saw. I was just curious where this experience with UE5 games came from.
