I feel like the problem is that this seems to be a very case by case issue.

Outside of one time when i was alt tabbing as the game was about to load a different area, I've personally never encountered a crash myself.
And to be really honest the chance that square reads these posts are extremely low, let alone someone that will pass it to the devs.
The best chance would be to send a support ticket straight to them because it's very difficult to know what's causing certain setups to recieve crashes on their own.

I never encountered it. Feel bad for you

Not a single crash in over 100+ hours on the Switch version and I've climbed many ladders in many different zones. This is a PC only issue.

Me neither but it must be annoying for sure....

I haven't had any ladder related crashes... But one time I got attacked while climbing down some vines, which are just a differently skinned ladder, and entered into a mode where I started running in the air.

Sorry but 91 hours and no crashes.

Are you using a controller and that could be the poroblem?

I was plagued with this issue but it happened at random times, not so much on ladders. Believe it or not, turning off V-Sync was all I had to do.
Now I put up with hideous screen tearing but I have not had a single crash since then. I still have moments where the game hangs up like it's about to crash but it recovers.

I had two instances of crashes early in the release when changing areas. I believe they may have done some secret update patch to fix most of the crashing issues, because since those two crashes I've done 2 full playthroughs and about 100 additional hours and haven't experienced a crash since.

Can confirm, playing on PC, happens way more often than I would like.
