What vysionier says above, might be the 'trigger' I am eluding to.
For future reference, I would also suggest anybody who's trying to meet him, look for the section of ground that has a big, black scorch mark on it. That seems to be where he always appears for me.
I also recommend buffing yourself with protection spells, because he usually tries to bomb you immediately after he leaves.
Yeah, but he's level 20 something, and his AC is absurdly high. One time, I got lucky enough to find a Canned Elemental, and summoned it into battle against him. Even that thing was barely able to touch him.
I've only beaten this game once before, but that was several years ago, and I've forgotten how to get there.
Right, but I can't remember where to find them. I only vaguely recall where to find the Scuba Gear, but I don't know how to reach that section.
Gonna be kind of difficult, since I crash landed their ship, and killed their commander. :)
I thought I recall finding some scuba gear inside a hut on the beach, guarded by a bunch of fish people?
Oh yeah! Forgot about that! I think you are stuck going through Bayjing from the swamp then!
From the Swamp isn't too bad. I set my portal inside the T'Rang base, so I'm pretty much right next to it.
Nessie is going to be a pain in the ass, since I'm playing with a smaller party.
I'm using an
Elf Bishop - Primarily focused on Wizard and Divine spell books. With some dip into Alchemist so I can make money.
Rarwulf Valkyrie - My primary damage dealer, and secondary healer. Uses polearms so she can strike from 2 rows away.
Dracon Gadgeteer - My main support unit, due to his gadgets and long ranged combat. He burns through Stamina very quickly, though.
NPC's include Vi (Human Valkyrie) and Urq (Mook Psionic)
Now that I have the Summon Elemental spell on my Bishop, and can consistently cast it at the highest level, I'm starting to consider dropping the NPC party members, so I can grind more EXP. But I recall how difficult Nessie was with a full party, so I'm nervous about that.
