Introducing Dark Quest 4

Greetings everyone!!

We are thrilled to announce Dark Quest 4 coming this fall on STEAM.

A while ago we announced the Dark Quest: Board game which eventually became Dark Quest 3. Looking back we feel like we missed an opportunity to create a dungeon crawler that plays on the board in a very similar fashion how you would play tabletop games such as Hero Quest, Descent, Dwarven Saga etc..

We decided to re-visit this idea and we are pleased to reveal the gameplay for Dark Quest 4.

Some of the big features in the game you should expect to see:

Campaign with handmade quests
Coop Multiplayer up to 3 people
Steam workshop support for user made quests and campaigns.

Please, please, please, oh please do away with the unlimited movement and no zones of control from Dark Quest 3. That really made movement almost entirely unnecessary in my opinion. There was no way to keep a ranged or low health unit in the rear, protected by your other units, because the enemy could just move wherever the heck they wanted. Thank you for dumping the Rogue-elements

And keeping coop. I enjoyed Dark Quest 2 and was hoping for a more refined, iterative sequel... not Rogue-slop. I can't stand anything with even a whiff of Rogue.

Seems to be missing an opportunity...

It seems like, in this very early video at least, you (and other) devs who are trying to capture table-top dungeon crawls are missing some fundamental mechanics that define the table-top "experience" when trying to emulate said experience. There are very basic elements of gameplay and presentation that make table-top gaming so fun and engaging. My $.02: - Dice: You have to show dice, man.
