Local Coop?
Hi! I'm looking for solution for the local coop mode. I have a Logitech Xbox controller, but it's not working... I read the other platforms are playable in local.

Well... on the console the game is local co-op... but the steam shop say's it's not... so we need someone to test it, because it's not the first time the shop is wrong, i've played a few game in coop beside the store said it's only one player.

Just to mention... Alien Breed games on Steam don't have local coop, XBox versions have local coop.

@FIRE_KEEPER - It doesn't look like there's any co-op in this version. Maybe you shouldn't go off telling people they need to learn how to read before you bother trying the game for yourself.

Maybe you need two controllers for local co-op? Some games don't combine kb/mouse and controller for 2-player.

Fire_Keeper, often the text blurb in games is literally just copy-pasted from the console game's promo stuff. So unfortunately it's sometimes wrong (especially about co-op), and it IS a good idea to ask people who have played the game if it has co-op.

Unfortunately co-op and split-screen especially do get removed from some PC games. Though we get quite a few now, like Sonic Racing Transformed (which is, btw, freaking awesome).

I suspect it's still in this, though. Since it doesn't require split-screen which is a bit more technical.

I've had it up with 2 controllers, both official 360 ones, and there is no prompt for co-op.

I'd put in a Steam support ticket. Only an nutcase would sue over something that was obviously an accident, for a $20 game. That's like suing McDonalds because they forgot to take Mac sauce off your Big Mac.

Well good luck with that, steam will answer after 5 days if you're lucky
Suing will definitely net you faster results, though?

Seems like you are bitter about being wrong. You totally weren't wrong, actually nobody here was. It's just an awkward situation. I've been on Steam for like a decade, and like co-op, that's the only reason I knew to be suspicious. You were right to call him out for not reading the description, and he was right to ask anyway lol

TheRealZyconis, have you tried simply pressing start during gameplay on the second controller?

I might pick this up just to see if I can troubleshoot it for people hrm.

@JINX - Tried that, and I tried pressing things in game.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was disabled for some stupid reason and there's a way to get it working. I'm no good at that sort of thing though, so we'll have to look elsewhere for a potential "fix."

Old game , new game

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has had local co-op removed too. There's probably more but I can't think of any.

I'm guessing you're not a local co-op sort of person, it's quite common knowledge that it's very possible for them to remove it for PC games.

I bought it, I'm going to check later tonight. Maybe did in the config files lol

Co-op was removed outright from the PC version that was released in 2013. I guess maybe they had some trouble with the engine or something.

It was supposed to come out last year, but it never did afaik. I was pretty disappointed.

Checking on it now.

@Jinx

Based inter alia on 'theenglishman101' posts from here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/245300/discussions/0/613937943134134664/

It was released probably in October 2013 on PC in the Eastern European as retail PC version [and digital non-Steam version which I - [PL] kamil950 - found in the www.cdp.pl]. There are English, Czech and Polish dubs (dubbings), and English, Czech, Hungarian and Polish subtitles, with no French, German, Spanish or whatever to be seen.

PC version from Eastern Europe probably also doesn't have local co-op based on reviews from here (it is digital non-Steam version but probably the same as retail version) - https://cdp.pl/gry/disney-epic-mickey-2

Can someone who actually owns this game (this particular PC version on Steam) comment as to whether local co-op play is possible? After all, it is supposed to be "the power of two" (meaning, two players).
xXbophadesXx Oct 15, 2014 @ 10:07pm
@vycyous - It doesn't. Steam gave me a refund for it, since the store page is misleading.
