So um... how do you pushblock?
I've been playing this port of Skullgirls for quite a bit, and I think I'm actually OK at it, but I've never really figured out how to pushblock. I know that knowing it will do me a lot of good, potentially getting me out of tons of combos, and that I've done it accidentally plenty of times, but I have no idea what button combo causes it to happen! Could anyone tell me? Thanks!

when you're blocking and get hit, press 2 punch buttons at the same time.

I'm pretty sure this is explained in the tutorial..

It was? Aww man, when I couldn't do one of the tutorials I just stopped going down the list, so I must've never got to that one.

You can actually skip lessons in the tutorial menus. But you just press two punches at the same time while in blockstun

Remember that for your pushblock to actually push people back, you need to press both attack buttons on the last hit of the move. So if you're getting hit with a painwheel attack that does 4 hits, you have to pushblock at the fourth hit.

You should finish the tutorials if you want to know what's up. But pushblock won't get you out of any combos; it's for giving yourself some space while blocking.

Also, an intermediate technique to work on while you're learning to pb: switch your block from high to low or vice versa immediately after push blocking. When you do that, if your opponent can and does continue to attack you during the pushblock animation, you can't be thrown and you'll automatically block all attacks, high or low won't matter. It only lasts a half second but that can be important!
