How do you unlock the 10th color palette on PC?

I've looked around online quite a bit, and it seems all I can find is how to unlock the 10th color palette on Xbox360/PS3 by entering a string of buttons in the Local Versus menu. My question is how am I supposed to unlock this on PC? Do I just hit the buttons bound to the same function as the Xbox360/PS3 buttons are? Or is there some config file I can edit to unlock the palettes for offline play? I don't mind if I can only use them for arcade or training or whatever, I'm just looking for some answers, this is quite frustrating.

You press LK + MP. As simple as that. Alternatively you can just pick it like any other palette from the color palette menu activated by choosing a character with the start button.

They should already be unlocked on PC.

So all I've got to do is go to Versus > Local Only, and while at the controller select screen (with player 1 and player 2, and keyboard 1 and keyboard 2 text onscreen) and simply pressy LK(z) + MP(s) simultaneously? Have I got it right?

Still isn't working for me for some reason =/

just chose your character with your select button and cycle between all 18 palletes like Mururi said

No, it would appear that he was explaining how to choose the color, not unlock it.

No experience on pc, but the only way I unlocked colors on xbox was playing x amount of matches, and buying the dlc colors.

from my experience from base game on xbox, you unlock colors for characters by beating their story mode, using them on your team in arcade mode, or buying the dlc color pack.

The dlc unlocks all colors for that character while story and arcade mode unlocks skins based on difficulty but I'm unsure if sleepwalk counts (ex. easy difficulty unlocks 1 skin, hard difficulty unlocks 3, each from easy, med, and hard).

If you already own the game now, you should be able to download the DLC colour pack for free. Once you get the pack it should unlock the extra colours as well as all the original locked colours.

It seems that I might have a lead on the character unlock code. Using a combo of googlefu and wkifu I found that September 17th, 1965 is the birthday of Yuji Naka, the lead programmer of Sonic the Hedgehog. His birthday also happens to be the level select code in Sonic 2, input as 19, 65, 9, 17 from Sound Select. Not sure where to go from here.

Hope this helps the advance in finding the code

didnt that game have a game genie code for moon jumps or something of the sort?
yeah i didnt get anything out of the uber highjump code or the really high jump one. i gots nothing again xD

The 10th color is unlocked by a secret code or if you buy the Color pack DLC it unlocks everything for you (and a bunch of other colors that aren't unlockable by playing the game).

People found out the codes for the 360 and PS3 versions but I dunno if anybody has for the PC version yet.
