Why do people always talk about putting Zone-tan in the game?

What is so interesting about her? It's a girl in a purple sweater. How is that cooler than a guy with a tank on his arm or a woman made entirely out of intestines?

Her fanbase helped fund the game...and their was an april fools joke a while ago..additionally she/he works for lab zero as a commisioned animator. She has a npc as well that is occasionally visible. So I mean you sort of get where people are coming from...

She'll never be playable tho.

I know all that, but like... if they get enough money to expand the roster, I'd rather they spend it on the awesome characters that Alex already has conceived for the game.

This question probably comes from confusion. Zone-tan as a playable character, to some extent, is already in the game; however, she requires two DLCs to play. Zone-Tan exists as a pallete swap for the DLC character Squigly and, I may be wrong, the pallete is part of the Color Pallete DLC.
