Why the hate for Big Band?
Is it because he's the only guy on the roster?
Or is it because you run into me on ranked, thinking that cheap combo we've all seen isn't going to fall pray to the almighty parry?

The guy has crisp gameplay with a balanced weakness, the best VA in the game (save for Lev), and one of the only assists that help with keepaway spam.
I really see no reason for the generally negative opinion the community has of him.

maybe because he has a spam move
What is even spam move and what BB move can be really spammed with little consequences?

dont judged, i find it very hard to play against a big band. against the other characters i most of the time am able to do something. Against a big band im completely lost

Well, that doesn't necessarily mean the character is overpowered, it just means you haven't figured out how to fight him. What are you having trouble dealing with specifically?

He covers the air too well with that grab and the ground with symbols, he's huge and takes up a good bit of horizontal space, and his assists have crazy armor; Parasoul Napalm levels of broken. The last week online has been 90% Big Band and Peacock, nothing else. Peacock is bad enough when you have no projectiles, but with the BB slam assist (nemesis style, I don't play BB so I don't know the special) for cover when you do get in through the bullet hell...

I'm all for FG's that aren't perfectly balanced (hai Marvel), but when few select characters have very exploitable kits and require 0 effort? Come on.

Word of advice, before you say a character or team is zero effort, try it out yourself. Results might surprise you!

Big Band can combo, I'd say he should get as much hate as everyone else :/
... or learn to play around the sexy devil, I did.

I tried Big Band. Even fooled around with him to see what he could do back when he was in beta, actually.

Didn't change my views on him at all. If anything, just reenforced them. It is very quickly obvious that I'd have to spend a lot less time with him than either Cere or Fukua. And that's saying something, considering Cere and Fukua are far from hard to begin with.

I'm not saying everyone should be Painwheel, because ♥♥♥♥ no. Making everything super difficult to do is what ruins fighting games, and is why the genre has no player retention. But he's everything people hate about Squiggly and Cerebella combined into one character, and then made twice as easy.

And Peacock... Well, Peacock is Peacock. I'm not going to go over ground that's been beaten to death 100 times.

i still have a hard time fighting him either the player keeps high hopping and it really bothers my eyes or spamming one move lol

Beta has a tendency of having little to none players online to play against, leaving AI as the only opponent. Have you tried your Big Band against human opponents in quickmatch or lobbies?

I've seen people claim character X is op, trying them out and miserably losing against human opponents countless times. Just about in all cases it turned out that hey, apparently it's not as easy when you are the one controlling the character after all!

But if you're an exception and you actually do noticeably good with the character, why not main it? Neither Big Band nor Peacock are considered best characters among higher level players. If you do noticeably better with them than anyone else, maybe you're talented with their specific type of play.
