Why do the Black Egrets call Parasoul "sir"
wut? Is this the same stuff they do in Star Wars/Halo?

This is a good point, yeah. It is an occasional misconception that "Sir" is universal, but in all contexts (miliary or otherwise) it is reserved for men, whereas a female superior officer should be addressed as "Ma'am".

Actually in the US military at least female officers are either refered to by 'Sir' or Ma'am, whichever one they prefer.

Currently Enlisting in the Military now and I tell you this is BS in the US. If you call a female superior Sir expect to get knocked upside the head.

Oh, well somebody has been spreading misinformation to me then. Thanks for clearing that up.

Although, clearly Parasoul makes the rules since she's the Princess. If she wants the egrets to call her 'sir' then they'd better well do it.
