No more characters for the game?
Hi, i just read patch notes and saw that robo-Fortune is the last DLC character. Does it mean that we won't ever see playable Marie (waited it from pre-purchase) or Umbrella, Ms. Victoria?

But please, don't think there's not enough fighters for me already added in game :lev:

The crowdfunding campaign was only able to fund characters until now. There's not going to be any more DLC, or updates to this game anymore.

Yes thats the last DLC character for the forseeable future as thats the last one funded by the Indiegogo campaign. As you might have seen from the notes, the team is already working on a new game.

The game has been out for 3 years now its a blessing that they still care about it and update it it has enoungh playable characters i dont get why people want more and more too many and it ends up like MVC 3 or USF 4

Maybe a few more years of success will drive the team to recreate the game with all the intended characters they had in mind for it. That or another update.

No canon story forever... now im even more depressed. im very happy with everything but i would have loved umbrella she would have been great. I wish i could thank lab zero and other publishing companys for skullgirls. cheers to one of the best fighting games i have ever played.

I agree. Thats really sad about story, when BlazBlue has really good one as canon. I thinkm Skullgirls has good basis to do it too (unless a lot of strange lifeforns you meet in game). And Marie.. She has her own art, icon in fight, role in every story and , as i think, interesting past. Why not to make her playable? She deserves it more than any other dlc character were already added

OFcourse they're all good games, but honestly we have enough characters.

Also to make marie playable and also FAIR, you'd probly need to redesign her a bit and tweak her appearance and also give her WAY more animations, since she kinda only has like... at most... 5 if you only look at her first form.

Though she is easily my favorite character, being the most interesting to me personally, though I just like the idea of the Skullgirls as forces of evil. Doesn't help that Marie highly reminds me of a necromancer, and I have a big thing for those. :D

Yeah, but don't see problems in upgrading already existing fighter, and she easily might be done fair (still hate big band).
Don't worry son, i'm sure all the characters you want will be added on Super Skullgirls Ultimate Arena Final Mix AC++ Reload Edition

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but she definitely can't be done fair "easily".

As the dev said himself, making Marie playable and viable would basically require to create her from scratch, which is the reason she was among the potential vote characters with no discount in the budget.

It's time, effort and money in animation, design, coding and balancing that Lab Zero can not affort to invest.
