I'm posting this here, to further present and discuss the fact, that the least passionate people about this topic, will never stop gas lighting you into thinking that we are overreacting over these changes. It seems those upset with """review bombs""" are more-so upset that people can be this vocal and adamant about the things they don't like about the game, and to voice why they don't like them. The seemingly one and only time that those who are the most passionate about this, come out and voice their opinions, they are INSTANTLY shunned and mocked while aggressively misinterpreting our arguments in order to downplay the true meanings behind these changes. These changes, unequivocally, erase culture, and stand to be examples at how in the age of a constant culture war being waged on the general public and our society, absolutely nothing is safe...
Here goes my initial thoughts...

This all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ comes back to adding that blue fox into the game, and replacing Mrs. Victoria when you play on Class Notes (my favorite stage), the rest of these changes were bound to happen. While I've got plenty of feelings and words on this, it is simply the bastardization of a once beautiful and marvelous game. Replacing the real and true creator's vision is another disgusting example of the people making these decisions are lacking true understanding of what the ♥♥♥♥ they are doing. WE HAVE TO REMOVE THE ""GERMAN"" IMAGERY, are you people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ children?! Does object permanence not register with these developers? "Out of sight, out of mind" Art imitates life, and the fact that these things are being changed shows that it's only about control, and never about art, expression, or being in a god-forbid, imaginary world where bad things happen for malicious reasons. I know for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fact that at least half of these so called "developers" not only came onto this ship LONG after Skullgirls came out, but the idea that you can change it and fixate the future in such a way, for what? What bothers me the most is that this is all to be PC and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you don't actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ care about removing these images for the reasons you say. It's all just another excuse to bastardize and rubber tip everything because you people cannot distinguish fantasy and fiction from REAL WORLD HATE AND TERROR GROUPS! IT'S A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ VIDEO GAME, WHY CAN THERE NOT BE REFLECTIONS OF THE REAL WORLD?! This is no longer our game, or a game I recognize, and it's the most damning shame when the things you enjoy most are held into this media/cultural political prisoner of war. My Skullgirls?! Gimme a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ break, this game has introduced me to Arabic, Russian, Italian, American, and all other kinds of culture, through their characters, stories, and beautifully detailed artwork and dedication. It has been a great tool for meeting many skilled and awesome people, and for this game, to be the next on the chopping block? A true disgusting example of how these changes are more reflective of the mental and emotional status of the developers, rather than anything that has to do with art, free speech, and the communication of our just or unjust realities. This is a fighting game, and dance around it all you want, it's beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of women, are you gonna fix that too because of uhhhh domestic violence?! No, because you people also only make changes when it comes to money, brownie points, and more money. The people that mainly loved this game initially, loved it for the cute designed girls, bouncing tits, and yes, amazingly detailed fighting mechanics, displaying overall care as a love letter to all things FGC. A travesty showcasing that nothing is safe in a world where, you would think you would want to strengthen oneself against those that are unjust, instead, they just block it out, cover their ears, and call you inconsiderate. This pandering is ONLY done for people who don't really give a ♥♥♥♥ about the game, and are just checking every box so they can live in a world where they are 100% comfy and cozy all the time and it's all kumbaya and peachy keen. And after all the money, artwork, support, and love given by those who loved this game, only to be taken out by asinine "developers" who probably couldn't even draw a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ circle or triangle if they tried...

You have slowly taken the sugar out of the cake, and still calling it a dessert.

This isn't just erasing culture, it's erasing history for a game who's unique identity, is now being mocked, and forever changed. We don't need a real explanation from the developers, as if they were not sitting for days and months thinking on what word salads to use to acutely justify these moronic changes, done by people who just don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ care for the reasons they say. Because if you did care, you'd ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scrap the whole game, and you start to realize that there is no goalpost, for it keeps changes, why remove Filia's hair comb when she has an Afro? Because she's not black? As if there's a single player let alone someone who uses a comb, felt so hurt, so absolutely devastated and heartbroken to see their culture and likeness so called "mocked" or whatever stupid reasons you have to justify it. As a TRUE matter of fact, these cultural inclusions brought people together, and made people, like me, smile and laugh at the sight of seeing, and not only engaging in learning of other cultures, but frankly, helps everyone see each other as people. For NOTHING of the original intentions, designs, voice lines, and artwork was in any way made and submitted with malicious and evil intentions, what is MORE likely is that after over a decade of a game being out, it was BOUND to be found by people who, simply put, get butt hurt and offended over everything. It's a shame to see a game with so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ man hours, YES MAN HOURS, THE TWO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MEN'S INITIALLY IMAGE, SITTING, BORED IN CLASSES DRAWING THE INITIAL DESIGNS FOR THESE GIRLS, is slowly being crafted into a squeaky clean, and bastardized version of something created so innocently, and out of pure love for other fighting games. And if your gut reaction to those last sentences, are "well there were plenty of girls who worked on it too" then YOU are the problem for not having the understanding of what changes like these represent.

That said, adding his sparkle dog by replacing Mrs. Victoria instead of adding it as a background character in some other stage was absolutely stupid and both parties should receive massive amounts of hate for it. And if he wasn't such a HORRIBLE person he would have voiced against this stupid decision, but he went along with it fully knowing the implications.

Yes! I'm not against creators and highly skilled players of any realm being added into the game of their expertise. What's annoying is the replacement of Mrs. Victoria, and while yes maybe it's a 50/50 chance, it would have been much more suitable to put it into the River City Casino, Under The Bridge, or Streets of New Meridian stage, stages where background Easter eggs and references are commonplace. What's odd too is the jump (most) people make in assuming that (in this instance, my own) hate is because his sexuality or otherwise. I could be gay, my friends could be queer, why on Earth does it always circle back to the people the person has sex with?! Or why is it even the first thought for people who have likely never met the person. My own theory is that those attributes are so, shall we say, noticeable, that people can not help but recognize that they COULD be issues people have, yet the fact that those sexuality reasons are always the go-to justifications shows how S.F's so called supporters still tokenize these things as if that's all the player can be. Also as if player's like them can never be a bad person, and any infliction of criticism upon S.F. is some secretly wrapped (pun intended) dog-whistle.

Ah, my reply wasn't meant for you OP, my bad, but as an "inb4" for snowflakes in these steamddit forums.
Also his fursona is truly deviantart sparkle dog tier, one of the fugliest anthros I have seen.
Devs could have at least tried to apply Alex's art style on it, but no, put the blue dog with absolutely no SG styling in an almost empty stage with a white background.
His ugly pretentious fursona is verily a mirror of how he is in real life.

Hell you know while we're at toggles for the censorship, why not one for who shows up? Sonic Fox is a good player, but Miss Victoria is actually canon and people actually like her
