Looking forward to Marie's Palette References

One thing I always liked about Skullgirls is its amazing palette references to characters from different franchises.

Big Band and Beowulf have some of the best palette references IMO, such as King Dedede for the former, and Wolverine, Batman and Captain America for the latter. Umbrella's Hat Kid color is also pretty sick. If I use Squigly, I would always choose her Zone-tan color that's still in the game.

Marie could have a palette based on say, Kikimora from the Puyo Puyo series, or Emily from Unholy Night: The Darkness Hunter.

The palette references are always top notch in SG. Half the reason I picked up Val and Para when I started playing was for the Sheena and Kula palettes.

Speaking of palettes, does switch still have exclusive ones? Or did they bring them to other platforms as well?

Are we even sure that Grim Reaper Goth Loli Maid will ever grace us with her presence?

I swear I am worried by now that the devs are making her 'alternate version' where she is 320lb heavy, 50+ wrinkly old and probably the biggest change in her palette is skin color.|

Then again: I doubt they have 'human resources' capable of making an entire new character from scratch so: this gives some hope XD

Nah let's talk about how Filia's recolors being modified is fraud / false advertising since that was a dlc people paid for only for all her colors to be changed to a uglier setup (especially apparent on stuff that is like the all white outfit which now has black underwear throwing off the whole thing).

The game does have some nice palettes alright. I think a palette to make Marie's skulls orange could be nice, kinda as a reference to pumpkins and halloween?

Indeed there's no need to bring what's going on into this particular discussion. But them being upset with current events and making a dumb comment that is relevant by tangent does not suddenly make them a troll. If they were asked politely to keep this thread civil and instead started flaming then yeah, but otherwise I'd keep the term "troll" reserved to the kind of people who spam voice chat with racial slurs and then kick me out of a lobby for reason: racism.

Halloween orange/black would definitely look good on her.

Oh yeah for those that haven't seen, there was a preview build shown off at Combo Breaker with a few colors. I didn't recognize what any of the palettes may have been based on, but maybe someone else might. I just played purple 'cause it looked nice (I'm p1 in the first match in this video).

Yeah... avoiding those baits.

I guess maybe something in vein of Evangeline Athanasia Katherine McDowell? Purple-ish eyes, blondie hair and possibly brownish red on underdress with black apron.. Not sure on Apron though... but I am a sucker for purple eyes especially on characters with Gothic vibe to them. Though in terms of Dark Eva there as they are officially blue and only appear to have purple hue at times. They also are sometimes Green... well dealing with shapeshifting Vampires may bring inconsistencies I guess~ Even blue they might be cool, alas it does not go so well with brownish reds... but there are tons of people into Blondies with Blue eyes... now with her normal hairstyle it would almost be a Alice Cartelet in cosplay.... no wait this might be great!!!
