Before anyone comments about me not having a say in this because of my play-time, keep in mind that I've bought this game multiple times across all platforms since the very beginning at it's original release as just "Skullgirls". I play mostly on console.
A "fake" fan is a corporate newspeak used to gaslight customers into humbly accept questionable practices.
It is implied that if you are a "true" fan, you will be fanatically committed to the brand and be in a constant unconditional hype for any of its products.
Lots of games have suffered under that, particularly with the "culture war" so many people are involved with. I mean.. if you don't like the product, go work on something else..
