they still took away stuff I paid for
Shines some light on Alex leaving, Mike being likely 'strongarmed' for years and ousted under false accusations once he was too much to bother with anymore.
Lots of people seem to have not paid much attention.
I don't really know about the allegations on Mike, but it's definitely dishonest to say they're false without evidence.
You can interpret the handling of business behind the scenes as "problems", but I see it as part of the process in developing businesses.
Fair enough, I should say 'allegedly false' according to now ongoing case against the studio.
And I would say that the business ongoings ending with court settlements with obvious grievances within the team (even after settlement and gag put in place) are indeed not a 'problems', my manager would rather call them 'effing travesty!', but she is much more direct in her communications than me... something most team admires as it gets the work done as long as the reasoning behind it is sound enough,
I'd say it's "allegedly true" because thats what allegations imply.
Ur right, sexual assault allegations present in a developing business dam near set it up for failure. It's a major issue, but it doesn't seem to affect the game and it seems it was handled, effectively, pretty well.
The art in the artbook is GONE. Sure, it's floating around the internet, but imagine you had some photographs from a vacation, and lost them. Hey, at least other people have them on the internet, right? I think buying digital artbooks is dumb in general, but I still greatly feel that it should be untouchable content.
MikeZ isn't around to record more soviet lines? Have someone else do it. When the voice of Meowth died in 2008, they didn't remove the prior 8 years of work, they found a new voice actor. I'd sooner them even just have the soviet voice over be silent where new lines would be, or just insert another one for those segments, than to outright remove it.
I can't fault you for having faith in the company, I can understand why you would want to view this all as some long standing intention, but it wouldn't have taken this long to implement. Plus, if they wanted to tone down sexualization, it would make it rather baffling that they hired ZONE, a person that was known for drawing porn and had been making Skullgirls Porn at the time, to help push, market, and develop the game.
I paid for the color palettes as they were
I paid for an edgy riskay fighter
That being said, I've been looking everywhere but the discord and the forum for the mobile game for conversations that have taken place that point to "All of the mentioned changes being agreed upon by the old and new members"
Are you talking about team members or members of the community? I would like to see some legitimate discussion on this to get a better picture of when and how much of an issue it actually was. So far there's been a 2017 thread dunking on someone suggesting the censorship, and another from initial searches of the mobile forum where the content restricted it from being playable in their region.
All claims were false
Cause ongoing case is a case for defamation by false claims?
This much is true, as well as her time out. I did voice my complaint about the lack of the way back when too. Its not even that I support Nazis its just that I think they add that bit of risky spicy flavor to a faction and character in game (mostly parasoul) I already find to be pretty bland even when they have armbands.
This I disagree on. Fookua was born out of a dev on streams typo of filias name (their finger was one set of keys over by mistake when typing the 'ili' part of Filias name. Lok at your keyboard if its Qwerty and youll see what happened easily). Their color scheme seems more just a way to further contrast the fandom in joke made april fools joke clone fighter from her original counterpart shoukd they be on the same team or fighting each other.
This I can agree on but I love it as its my fav voice pack for the announcer I always use. But yeah its removal can easily be justified due to who made it and more so, the fact it cant be updated to match anyone post robo except umbrella and Marie I think (as those two had plenty of unused lines in old versions of the game that are in use now such as tag in/out lines).
I cut the rest off since most is just listing
the artists but yes Im pretty sure at one point the devs in lab zero days admitted this is more a bonus courtesy thing that can be removed whenever or if an artist in that gallery later wishes to not be in it anymore. Pretty much all of the art can be found on various boorus in high quality, and the emlan one even has the lost cut fan character Juju in versions outside the game for that little bit of extra goodness.
Cant really 100% comment on this one. Im sure internally they had meetings and votes and that not everyone agreed but Majority vote wins after all.
Im glad peacocks cartoony character design from Alex Ahad showing artwork of this world pre meeting even Mike Z days is what got me into this, even if Im more invested into the world and characters than I am the fighting aspect of the game. Personally im just a bit of a 'salty cupcake' if you will that things added because of the crowdfunding have been removed like the Soviet announcer since I love the voice.
This goes both ways too with people buying the game to play for like 30 minutes then leave a good review just to insult or dismiss people who just really dont like their decade+ old games being altered for "modern sensibilities".
You sure weren't playing the game when they were there, so they obviously didn't make the game any more worth playing than it does now; you're obviously here for a different reason
If you want an explanation on what you're complaining about, read the post.
There doesn't need to be a discord call because the changes were being implemented by the old team already before the patch. The new team carried on doing those changes, so they clearly agreed.
With everything lined up, I have no idea how this can be regarded as censorship. Are we censoring our bodies by putting on clothes? Is any sort of removal of sexual content censorship? The word is intentionally being mishandled by dissenters to exaggerate their issue with the changes and because this is the internet, no one will check them, but I just don't feel like censorship is the right word. Sanitizing or cleanup would work fine
