The people throwing the fit were not playing the game in the first place. It was nearly all people who bought the game on sale, played it exactly once, then put it down and never touched it again until it was a convenient excuse to pretend to be outraged for internet clout.
And the added attention from all the people across social media mocking them has just convinced more people to pick up the game and try it out. Once the smoke clears and they've all moved on to the next Thing To Be Mad At Online Skullgirls will not have seen the slightest change in its existence as an extremely niche fighting game with a couple hundred people online at the same time at most lol
Also you guys really need to stop lying and saying the people complaining don't even play the game. I've purchased it several times on several platforms, I play it on PC the least.
And since I know eventually someone is gonna call cap:

I don't think you're looking at the data in the link you posted. Nothing was boosted the data is in the general same region as normal while no definitive change will be shown quickly be that is good or bad. BTW what the hell were you trying to show with data that shows the second lowest player count for the month of June since 2014? isn't that not really support to your argument?
Certainly don't need to play a game to care about people watering down the term "child porn" to include "panty shots of an imaginary teenager in a T-rated video game."
Unless you are playing H games (even then you could just hide your games) I don't understand privating your profile tbh.
But I do agree, & they blatantly lack the capacity to consider that some steam users played the game on other platforms besides just steam.
Nothing you are complaining about was ever "added" to this game. It didn't start out sunshine and rainbows and suddenly get icky later on because the pedos invaded or something.
BLM is literally a fraudulent organization. Disgustingly fraudulent. It went for-profit this year, exclusively because non-profit organizations have to report where their money goes, and it absolutely was not going where they said it was. It was going right back into their own pockets, trying to hide it by creating different "departments" literally run by a single person who also worked for the company. BLM has not helped anyone, and they directly profit from perpetuating artificial racial tension.
"Child porn" is not drawings. Legally, morally, or otherwise. Cry harder.
ESG is not a conspiracy theory. It is documented fact, and it affects literally every business that operates in the United States. Especially if it uses any bank that operates there, since they are all bending the knee to the multi-trillion Blackrock hedge fund by refusing to approve lending to any company without a satisfactory ESG score.
Please point to the people supposedly "praising the KKK." Because in current year, that likely means "said 'no' to someone with a skin color other than white." With that said: At least the KKK is honest about their intentions. When a literal white supremacist murder cult is less fraudulent and duplicitous than your good-guy warm fuzzies organization, you might want to rethink your life choices, champ.
