this is not a live service game, you don't have to always play it to justify your arguments. If you enjoyed it for 1-2 hours or 10-20 hours good for you. But when you come back to play a 10+ year game you expect to have the same content in it, not less! It's as if you buy a console you don't play so much and then the manufacture comes and removes parts and features from that since they deemed it offensive only after years where no one complained.

Funny how developers used to complain people were refunding their games after beating them in less than 2 hours, now appearantly they didn't even play the game if they have less than 10 hours.

The people throwing the fit were not playing the game in the first place. It was nearly all people who bought the game on sale, played it exactly once, then put it down and never touched it again until it was a convenient excuse to pretend to be outraged for internet clout.

And the added attention from all the people across social media mocking them has just convinced more people to pick up the game and try it out. Once the smoke clears and they've all moved on to the next Thing To Be Mad At Online Skullgirls will not have seen the slightest change in its existence as an extremely niche fighting game with a couple hundred people online at the same time at most lol

I don't think you're looking at the data in the link you posted. Nothing was boosted the data is in the general same region as normal while no definitive change will be shown quickly be that is good or bad. BTW what the hell were you trying to show with data that shows the second lowest player count for the month of June since 2014? isn't that not really support to your argument?
