Instead point people in the direction of a better product. Bring up the parts of the game's history that is conveniently being scrubbed when possible.
Suggest to venues where the game could be used in to not use it. If people insist on playing the game, suggest buying the used, physical PS Vita or console versions where possible and play offline to avoid any update they may potentially get while not providing money to the company.

Well then maybe you should stop giving free advertising to the game. I didn’t know the game existed until I read an article about some anti-woke crusaders running amok in the reviews of some game I never heard of before. Some percentage of people learning about the game are going to like it and end up buying it.
I don’t think a video game boycott has ever worked in history. Do you know of one? They tend to just be angry conservatives making games they don’t like more popular. I only know of one by non-conservatives and that one didn’t work either.
And BTW, if you already gave them your money it’s kind of a moot point anyway.
