I was playing the game on my steamdeck and when i went to my computer to sync it up it didn't even though it said it was up to date and when i went back onto my steamdeck to make my local save overwrite the cloud save and when the same issue arouse on my pc and when i went back to my steamdeck it had my pc save which didnt have the storymode almost complete. Is there a way to go back a save?

If you go trough the save folders are the dates of last modification the same on both PC and the deck? If not, then back them up and test out the newer dated one to see if it's the right one.
If the files and dates are all the same then there's only really one option. But it requires that you abstain from any more syncing, or copying over files. You'll have to use an hdd/sdd recovery tool to check for deleted or modified files and hope that it's still recoverable. I was able to recover some deleted saves once like that. I used the free version of recuva recovery. And I remember I had to use deep scanning, it took a while, but it was able to recover all but one save file. Good luck!

Oh also, I forgot to mention you'll have to turn off cloud sync until you're done setting up the correct save. Once you are in game and you are sure the correct save is loaded alt+tab out and re enable cloud sync, that way when you exit the game the recovered save should get uploaded to the cloud.

Ouf a full reinstall? It's probably a long shot, but you might still be able to retrieve something from the old install, I'm not sure if recuva can do it if the partition was formatted during reinstall though as the file-table is probably gone and replaced. Let me know if you have any luck with it.
