you can buy your own stick and put your own art in
thats what i did
lol what did this even have to do with the thread
they wanted a legitimate answer, not a smart-aleck response.
i'd do what ashzu did. i've always wanted to do that, but i constantly forget about buying a joystick.
I consider "smart-aleck" to be a compliment.
Those are just empty casings for you to put in your own buttons, stick, PCB, etc. If you want to build your own stick, you can refer to here: http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/introduction.html
FoeHammer can build a stick for you with artwork included. Please refer to here, and be as thorough as possible with your descriptions: http://www.foehammershop.com/index.php/shop-fh/custom-requests
If you want to just buy a stick and put in the artwork yourself (there are plenty of YouTube videos explaining how to change the artwork), you can buy one from the Mad Catz website ($130 USD) here: http://store.madcatz.com/categories/fightsticks-category/
If you want to compete in fighting game tournaments, you might need a stick compatible with both 360 and PS3. In this case, the best value stick would probably be this ($150 USD): http://eightarc.com/qanba-q4-black/
Both of the sticks I listed above are generally considered to be great arcade sticks.
You can always just search Google for Squigly art. Be sure to find the highest resolution possible, so that the print will not come out blurry.
The game gallery also includes some beautiful arcade stick artwork that you can use. You can view them all here: http://imgur.com/a/Rg8nl/
Why does it matter whether the image has already been used on an arcade stick? If you like how it looks, you should just use it.

All Xbox sticks are immediately compatible with the PC as well.
PS3 sticks are not immediately compatible with the PC, but can be made compatible with third-party programs.
The Qanba Q4 is compatible with 360, PS3, and PC out of the box, so if you want to play on multiple consoles, you should probably choose that stick.
Alternatively, you can exchange the internal PCB component of your stick to one that is compatible with everything, but you should be careful when doing so because you could ruin your stick.
