(And how the hell would that work for 3-character teams...? 3 vs 3!? Insanity! How would that work for 2 players in a 3-sized team anyway...)
Though doing all that what was mentioned above is already above their budget, who knows how they would accomplish changing some netcode stuff or whatever to allow for 3/4 players in a single match, with the lack of money they probably have going on by now.
Unless they maybe throw another kickstarter, but they would rather not if they can help it, as far as i've heard. Not like a kickstarter to add team co-op to an already fully functional game would get very far anyway. There's bigger, more untouched ideas left to be realized.
Ah well it is a nice idea though, but i just dont see it happening anytime soon...
Also Lab Zero might have money again soon. They get a percentage off of all sales and merch now as part of the deal for the ps4 and Vita stuff. So who knows what the future holds.
I agree, local would seem to be the easiest to implement first.
