35 Dollars for a season pass...?
Look, i love skullgirls. I ADORE this game. It has been and always will be one of my favorite fighting games of all time. But 10 dollars for a single dlc character is a LOT of money. I understand, it's a smaller company getting this game back in action, but it's still just a WHOLE LOT of money for only 4 characters

While value is subjective, the $10 DLC is not just a character. It's the character, their colors, a new stage, and their own new story mode and challenges. A lot of other games part all this stuff out and it costs more than $10 when they do.

It will last at least 1 year, so I guess they will add more content. In my country the season pass costs 3 dollars lol

Yeah, i didn't figure the stage and such when i wrote this, i think i was just flabbergasted on how much it was when i was expecting to not pay that much.

it does seem like a lot for a 10 year old indie game that was only $15-$20

It'd be one thing if they at least told you what you're getting. $35 is way too much for what's essentially a lootbox. It's embarassing that FG players keep shelling out money for mystery content, but here we are. I'll never support it.

Or people are paying it because they like the game and want to support the developers?

Personally, I'll be fine with any character. I just have a handful of favourites, but honestly there's no character I dislike in this game.

yeah I think its not a good price

Hand-drawn characters with over a thousand animation frames takes a LOT of time to do, which is why most fighting games opt for 3-D visuals nowadays.

You are literally paying for the art.

support the devs that got rid of their lead artist and lead programmer.

Toxic work environments are a serious problem in the industry, and way too many customers are completely apathetic to all the abuse and harassment going on.

It's a fighting game, don't know what you expect. A lot of work goes into adding characters and all the things that come with them. This isn't some reskinned rifle in Battlefield or CoD or something. If 35 dollars is a lot to you, especially for what would ultimately be a significant return in entertainment as far as raw hours are concerned compared to stuff like a trip to the local theater, then you've got much, much bigger problems in life than the price of video game DLC.

Lets not forget that this DLC basically is the main product, and not really a supplimentary purchase to incentivise game sales.

Game has been out close to a decade, and been on sale for as low as $2 multiple times. I think its safe to assume the vast majority of the playerbase in the future already own the base game now.
