(Mac) PS4 Fightstick no longer being detected.

Hello, I've played on max for forever with no issues but I have suddenly found that the game no longer recognises my controller (I use a PS4 Hori Real Arcade Pro V Silent arcade stick). At first I thought it could have been my computer or even my stick, but after some fiddling I think it's definitely the game.

Things I've already tried:
- Restarting the game (multiple times)
- Restarting Steam
- Restarting my Mac
- Unplugging and replugging my stick
- Trying different USB ports
- Switching from the PS4 mode to PS3
- Whispering sweet nothings at the settings menu
- Shouting in anger

I know that the fault does not lie in my computer failing to detect the controller nor in the controller being broken as I have tested it on other games and it works fine there. A May 21 thread by Gilbals! concerning their Xbone pad no longer working lends some more credence to this.

Notes:
- last I played was April 19, so I don't know the exact date of when it stopped recognising my controller.
- the game simply does *not* detect the controller, as it doesn't appear in the "Choose Controllers" menu found in Settings.

I've been seeing "Steam Input" being thrown around but I unfortunately don't know where to find it? How do I see if it's enabled?
