Is Pyromancer Too Weak?
It takes forever to charge a fireball and it deals around 200 damage with green/blue gear. 2 handed sword deals the same damage with 1 hit. Also the casting time gets longer when you take damage during it. Other ability is good to counter melee classes but it's usually not useful since most areas are too narrow in both maps. It lacks the continuous damage/slow of Cryomancer and lacks the survivability of Druid while not having high burst damage(I believe this was what Pyromancer supposed to have).

Any pro Pyromancers out there who thinks it's powerful or even balanced right now? Any comments on Pyromancer?

Bonus: It feels super weak even with 3 activated passives.

Considering they can do three knockbacks that take 1/3rd your HP in 10 seconds ... no.

It has 1 charge with the cooldown of 40 seconds. I don't think any item can reduce this cooldown that much.

I didn't see any pyromancer who performed more than 1 knockback in a fight with me. Can you explain?

Two Pyro blasts send you flying .... knockback splash aoe fire ring ... repeat.
risk vs reward like anything else.
Get the advantage = win, they get advantage = loss.

But if he misses the shot it's over against a lot of classes that can cross big gaps easily. And when you have 15 guys running round out there, those are poor odds to play.

Well, thanks. I guess that's why there are barely any pyros in solo dungeons. I hope they add more abilities and new ways to play pyro in future.

This is genuinely a big issue that I don't think they've managed to solve yet because trying to make him viable in solo has the potential to make him absolutely dominant in team modes, like if you give him an escape for solo he'll be able to output 3000 damage across a team then insta-withdraw behind a tank to cooldown in team. Make him faster for solo so he can be less reliant on pushback, same issue in team.

Pyro has been low pick in solo since day 1 because people realised his win rate in a single fight is decent but across a match drops off, and he's low pick rate in team because he is so destructive at the start of the fight to the enemy but so bad IN the fight that a lot of the time 3v3 becomes 4v2 since the pyro can't actually engage the enemy and will sometimes accidentally decimate his own guy if they don't co-ordinate well.

Pyro lives and dies based on whether it was able to mess up the target on approach, and that's great as a unique class that relies on co-ordinated teamplay goes, but not great as far as a balanced character you can use effectively in an average game. Does that need to be changed in a game with many class options and growing? Idek. Maybe just make a whole new solo themed fire guy and tailor the current pyro to team.

Yeah I agree. It happens a lot in team-based games. For example they buff a support/tank character a bit too much so it becomes extremely powerful agaimst other roles even when not played as support/tank.

I know, he was always bad. I don't see him much in clotho's trial too.

I think it's pretty much like that for all classes, if you manage to surprise your enemy and deal 300-500 dmg in few seconds then they almost always lose the fight. It would be nice to see more elemental damage based classes so the game would get more complicated. Maybe some demonic fire shaman from hell or something like that.

bro a fireball with decent gear does about 600-700 damage. yeah pyro is broken and not to weak. once u play 2 pyro and 1 cryo u can wipe every lobby. like what ure talking about

Not it doesn't, I tried few different gear that are focused on fire damage but barely reached 400. Can you tell me the each gear's name with stats so everyone can try and see it?

Yeah it's possible, I was talking about solo dungeons.

I think Pyro is kinda weak if you can jump on him but his ranged damage is definitely there and his tiny fireballs are homing ontop of that. If playing say Druid you gotta get the jump on them from a blind spot or they will actually melt you before you can kill them.

If playing a melee centric class i am scared of open spaces because losing some 500 HP to some long range fireball from portable artillery is just sad. Cant do anything in response and by the time i run him down i´ll have no health left.
