Pleased to see you're not sundowning support for SE1. Good on you, Keen.
ngl this is maybe the funniest way keen could announce this. that said, modders have made this already keen, way to keep up with the unpaid masses

NO ONE CARES! SE2 is out!

Wrong, a lot of us still care also SE2 is not out, the Alpha Early Access is not a game.

I dont understand why this is being done now ......

same for the large small connector block,

essential blocks but they are way too late -.-

Yeah when they released the 1x1 small connector there should have been an adaptor right then. I don't know why it had to be a mod first.

For those running NO MOD worlds, yes, this is awesome. Adding more functionality to the base game.

Like many games that can be modded so heavily, this is painfully late to the party however.

p.s. Speaking of mods, did we ever get to see the long armor wedges in the **opening SE logo credits** ever get added to the base game? Been looking at those every time I start SE for years now... :D
Yeah I seriously don't get the hate. Mods are amazing, but they can be buggy and make the game run slow, which also is not ideal for servers.
This is not a thing. If a mod runs slower or is less stable it's due to poor code, not the fact that it's a mod. If mods do face intrinsic slowdowns, then the game has poorly coded mod support. Eitherway, the issue with performance is poor code, not "it's a mod". Whether that poor code is on the side of the mod author or the game developers is different on a case-by-case basis, but implementing the same thing in the base game as with a mod shouldn't have any significant performance difference inherently. (with the notable exception of, POTENTIALLY, core gameplay features that'd require the binaries themselves be altered on a source-code/compilation level.) People use this same reasoning for countless games and it's just flat out not true. A thing being added by the developers or added by a third party should not have any impact on whether it runs well or poorly if the code is the same quality . (and if you don't think that's a fair assumption to make, keep in mind plenty of moddable games have performance mods at the top of their list for most downloaded. Try finding a modpack for minecraft that doesn't include phosphor, optifine, etc. In MANY cases mod authors actually achieve significantly increased performance over the raw game, so no, it's not a given that mods can just be assumed to be coded worse.)

Besides, who tf downloads a "small oxygen tank" mod? People download QoL mods that add dozens or hundreds of fixes and blocks that should already exist in-one, meaning all this really accomplishes is make basically every (PC) player have two small oxygen tanks in their menu. Feature-wise this is really just for console players since consoles can't install mods, which itself is kinda just an issue with the whole console business model itself but we're kinda stuck with it now so, whatever, I just don't buy them and move on. (tho steam machines definitely have the potential to be an existential threat to the console market, what with them bridging the gap between the UX of a console and the flexibility of a PC) If you're specifically considering players with access to mods however, this isn't much more than a minor annoyance. (since, again, it just means a duplicate block.)
So which mod did you steal this low rate trash from
Now we just need small lower-output solar panels.
Finally, I can cut those breathing breaks out of the schedule, and increase productivity

nice can we get some new guns not new gun skins but acual new guns like a birst cannon or a 50 cal for small grids and will this update have large grid small grid merge with it cuz my ships need it merging them with roters looks like crap lol for my ships sake keep adding new stuff to the first game and if the second game gets blocks that are compatable with se 1 port them over 2 birds 1 block see what i did there
Why would you want somethign that small? the autocannon is about 2 inch, a 50 cal would be 1/4 that and basicalyl do no damage to anythign other than characters
yah i think will send complaint to European customer protection about "bait and switch" and target KEEN were it hurts Medieval Engineers they want to throw joke may as well throw one

What part of Medieval Engineers was a bait and switch?
Can we get a 1x2 Hydrogen tank please? That'd be awesome
Can we get a 1x2 Hydrogen tank please? That'd be awesome
So this isn't a 1x4 Oxygen tank? Only 1x2?

That seems like a joke. The small Oxygen and small Hydrogen tanks should take up the same space in Small Grid like the do for Large Grid.

Personally, I like the 1x4 block. It has a certain charm to it. I never use it for anything because that is an abysmally small amount of fuel, but I think it gives the game some extra charm.
