Docking a drone

I'm trying to figure out a way to make small drones pick up the ore from various mining sites and transport it back to base. I haven't messed around too much with the remote control yet.
I was messing around with a setup, but I can't seem to make my drone dock and unload etc. I have tried a few of the scripts but my drone just keeps crashing &%¤&%¤&/

Set up a connector at your base with a conveyor sorter behind it set to "Drain All" so when your drone docks it will automatically dump all its ore.

Thank you... Seen this before, but totally forgot about it. I'll give it a try

The above suggestion is a script running on a programable block iirc. But it is also possible with just the remote control autopilot: This let's play episode by Kanajashi gives an idea how to do such a thing. But be warned. I think he made some mistakes so make sure to watch a few of the next episodes containing corrections:

Already watched this ;) Love his videos. I can't seem to make my drones work in gravity. Kanajashi is building and testing in space. My drones crash and do all kind of funny stuff.
The PAM Script is working like a charm

Are you sure your drones have enough thrust in all directions when fully loaded? His is in Moon gravity, so not that harsh. But not free-space.

I have several atmospheric miners with horizontally-oriented drills. I could *never* get those to work correctly with PAM. I finally abandoned my effort and went to a drone miner with vertically-oriented drills, and that sucker works like a champ.
