How to research new blocks and stuff?

Hello guys, so I bought this game 2 days ago, played it for 6 hours now and I still wasnt able to find out how to research new blocks so I can build myself a ship. I started the game on Lone base in survival mode. Can somebody tell me what to do?

build them
build landing gear to unlock cockpit and so on

u dont need to build it just grind down the landing gear and repair it

the tech tree is g-key and than progression button

u can even go over the pictures there and see what u need to unlock for it

Yes.

Find the "Progression" Button in the Block menu. That will show you with lines connected to the ones you can unlock, and what you have to build to get them.

You can turn this feature off in Advanced game settings.

This is the recommended way to handle progression IMHO

The progression system is pretty goofy for sure.

Want to unlock indoor decorations? Build an internal wall (funny looking blocky thing) then tear it apart immediately. Magically, you now have the ability to build a desk!
