progression and unknown technology ?

If for example I want a small wheel, it says on the progression chart that its unknown technology and I have to research it, I'm guessing this is a new feature as I can't find out anything about it, I'm on a planet and badly need to make a rover with an ore detector!

You have to *completely* build a landing leg to get at the stuff below it in the pogression tree, I'd just placed one down to build on without fully building it....

Each tier of items has some block that 'unlocks' it. In the case of wheels, I believe it's landing gear. To make the unlock happen, all you have to do is COMPLETE the build on that item. If you've still got your drop pod, partially grind down one of the landing gear, then weld it back up.

Also, in the G-menu, is the Progression tab, which will SHOW you what unlocks what, allowing for faster progression. The Progression system was put in place to help guide newer players into working up to full production instead of going directly for high-end things and getting horribly stuck somehow.
