Internet connection problem when running Space Engineers
Hello everyone, my problem is quite simple, but frustrating: As soon as I start Space Engineers, my internet connection stops working (websites won't open, Skype disconnects, etc.). After running some tests on a Desktop Computer in my house, I came up with the following conclusions:

- The problem seems to occur only on my laptop, which is connected to the router via Wifi.
- The connection problem seems to affect the game itself too, because I am also unable to download mods (when loading a saved game) and connect to servers.
- No other device is affected (smartphones, other laptops, my Desktop PC, etc.)
- No other Steam game causes this problem.
- In my Desktop PC, the game runs perfectly fine and no internet connection problems occur (the Desktop is connected to the router via Ethernet cable).

Here is the possibly relevant information about my network adapter (I'm a noob, so I'm sorry if is not what you need to know):

Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160
Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller

I have not tried to connect my laptop to the router via Ethernet yet, because there is only one Ethernet cable in my house and it is connected to the Desktop PC (anyway, it wouldn't be the best solution).

Is this problem game-related? Is it related to my network adapter? Am I destined to keep on playing only on my Desktop PC?

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this problem had already been posted; I searched everywhere and my problem seems to be a bit different.

EDIT: This is weird; now I put Steam in offline mode and tried to play Space Engineers, the result: even when Steam is offline, the internet stops working while Space Engineers is running.

The Problem chain leads to Space engineers-exes
Have you tried to check the local Game-data via steam ?

Forgive my ignorance, but do you mean "Verify cache integrity"? If so, I already did that.

Today, I discovered another weird thing: The connection problem doesn't occur when the game is on fullscreen mode. It only occurs while the game is on window mode or on fullscreen window.

Looks like I found a workaround for this issue; now I'm forced to play on fullscreen. It's a bit annoying, since I prefer to play on fullscreen window, but well... I have no other option for now.
