Shift+F10 not doing anything

Hi folks. I've just started this game and I'm trying to get into the spawn screen (Shift+F10). This doesn't appear to be doing anything - F10 works for the blueprints screen but it's not that I want.
I've searched on the 'tubes and it seems in my OS (Win7), Shift+F10 is a shortcut for a rather pointless little context menu - I imagine this is why it does nothing in Space Engineers.

The only solution I can find so far is to go into the registry, disable all keyboard shortcuts, restart, play the game, and then when I want the shortcuts back, go back to the registry, enable, and restart again. This is pretty ridiculous and I wonder if there's another way. Surely I'm not the only person playing this on Windows 7 but I seem to be the only person bothered by this.

I can't even change the controls to this particular screen in the in-game controls options, and running the game as administrator (which the Wiki suggested) has no effect.

Any help would make my day, thanks.

I for one can`t access Shift+F11 menu to reload meshes/textures for my server. Apparently for the same reason.

I wonder if there is a config file where players can set the proper keys they want (I don`t recall this being available in the options menu).

Thanks Ebolaman, but I don't have a function key on my keyboard. I just got back into the game recently... The good news is, now Shift + F10 is working, so there's no need! :D

Are you in survival or creative? if in survival the creative tools are disabled. go alt-f10, upper right corner is a box to activate creative tools in survival mode. That's all I know, if your in creative already I don't know the answer.

That might have been the issue, anybody else still having this issue try dvanwormer02's suggestion. I recently got back into the game and suddenly it was working for me :) thanks guys
