Keyboard Input doesn't work
Just got the game and tried to start it up today - the game receives absolutely no input from my keyboard whatsoever. My keybord works fine in all other programs/situations, it has nothing to do with my NumPad (and I've tried those solutions regardless.) I've rebooted multiple times and I don't have any keyboard or mouse management software. I do have a wireless logitech mouse and headset, but my keyboard is integrated. I only have software for the headset, and even if that were somehow causing the problem (the game still fails to recognize keyboard input when it's not running), my keyboard works fine in every other game/program so it's clearly not the problem.

I know this is Early Access but this is unacceptable, I still paid good money to try this game out and it is literally completely unplayable... let's try to get this fixed.

Edit: Log file: http://pastebin.com/sHLAxVK1

I've tried uninstalling my headset software as well now, made no difference.

What's your computer security program(s)?

Have you ever ran any keyboard management software?

For me the solution on this page worked: http://www.spaceengineersgame.com/gameplay--other-issues.html

MY SOLUTION

I had the same problem. my keyboard worked but the game would not allow me to talk or type anything in game.

The solution for me was exiting/uninstalling a malware software i had running in the back round.
Most likely if your having the same problem, press ctrl+alt+delete to go to the task manager, check your startup tab in there, and look at what programs start up with your pc. chances are that one of them is causing this problem.

If you cant see anything there, while in the task manager go to the processes tab and look for a background process that maybe stopping your keyboard from working. like a virus protection software or 3rd party software.

hope this helps.
