Trouble using Creative tools in spectator mode as admin
I have searched for solutions to my issues online without success, so here goes:

I am playing a custom single player game in the star system, on a custom planet that I spawned in. I originally deleted the earth-like planet when i started the game and spawned my custom planet near its original position. Anyways, my positioning was not exact, and some economy feature enabled space stations wound up inside my custom planet. One of them was the station with GPS coordinates that you get off the PDA that you can find in your dropship cockpit. I eventually realized, after playing around in spectator mode, that these gps coordinates were inside my custom planet. After cycling through some grids in the admin panel entities list, I realized there are at least 2 of these stations submerged inside my planet which now occupies the place in space where they used to be in orbit.

Anyways, I thought it would be a simple matter of turning on creative tools and then I could cut/paste the stations out of the planet and put them somewhere else in empty space so that I can access them for trading and bounties and such, since I want the economy enabled. But I am having trouble making that happen. In fact, I have found that I can't copy/paste or interact with ANYTHING when I am in spectator mode. Not even my own grids.

I thought a work around for this might be to teleport to the spectator location and target the grid with my player character. Well, that's not working either. I can only delete/copy/paste my own grids this way. Any other grid I get no response from the game or I might get an ACCESS DENIED message. Again, totally unable to do ANYTHING but move in spectator mode.

What am I doing wrong?
I tried reloading the game with the economy settings turned off, but the stations are still there, so that did not work either.

Why, as admin, with creative tools turned on, can I not delete/copy/remove any entities? I tried this on grids added by mods, too, and got the same error, so it isn't just the vanilla economy stations.

Why can I not use creative tools in spectator mode, at all?

And as long as anybody feels like helping me troubleshoot my custom game, since I am trying to play on a custom planet, how do I make sure that economy stations spawn on my planet?

I'm running a game with MES and EEM and a few npc mods. I see most of the modded stuff spawning on my custom planet like it should. But I don't think the vanilla econ stations are behaving correctly with this custom planet, as evidenced by the fact that 2 of them are submerged into the core of my planet and I can't delete them.

Hi, we must never enable "Economy" before pasting in planets, in other words
-> "The economy option must never been enabled before pasting Planets"

- Create a new No Mods world
- Disable all NPCs like Cargoships, Encounters, Drones, etch ....
- Make sure "Economy" is OFF on creating new for the very first time
- Load the world in creative mode
- Paste in all your custom planets
- Save/exit to enable economy and NPCs once all is ready and tested OK.

IF you want to play with Mods :
-> I strongly recommend to add one Mod at a time in a testing world to be sure they are not broken or have conflcting Mods that can't run together.

For the spectator problem :

Not sure why you can't but it may be because you are in survival mode and you must enable all the God modes from the admin menu Alt+F10.

Disabling "Economy" from a world where it was already loaded and saved will bug that save.

So never disable economy once already in because that will bug your save.


EDIT
= You will have to create a new world because you disabled Economy after already saved in and doing so bugged your save.

Ok, disabling economy bugs my save how? I edited the settings to one of my back-up saves to attempt that, and have since reloaded without noticing any issues.

If I understand what I need to do correctly, then I am about to load a new custom star system world without any npc mods and with all vanilla npc options disabled, spawn in my custom planet, then save, and reload with those options enabled.

That sound about right?

I should be able to copy my progress (Grids, inventories) through the first world and paste it into the new save file, right?

As for the spectator issue, it is supposed to work like I expect it to, right? I don't know what else to check off besides creative mode tools in admin panel. What else?

Yes, the important to remember is the economy option must never been enabled before pasting Planets.

For the spectator issue, I'll say test in a new created No Mods world set creative mode to see if the same, the world you play in may be bugged and testing new will tell you.
